We Believe in a Real Relationship With Jesus
We believe in the Bible as the verbally (every word) and plenary (completely) inspired Word of God as contained in the original manuscripts; that all portions of Scripture are equally inspired and contain no contradiction; that God’s word is to be the only rule of faith and practice for the believer in Jesus Christ; and that the Canon, the sixty-six books of the Bible, is complete.
Jesus' Teachings on Loving as God Does
Jesus taught us to love as God does, in an unconditional, selfless manner that goes beyond typical human understanding. This love transcends boundaries of race, status, or belief and seeks the welfare of others above our own.
According to Jesus, to love like God means to be patient, kind, selfless, and enduring, setting a divine standard for humanity to aspire to.
Our Beliefs: The Doctrine of the King James Version Bible
We believe in the Bible as the verbally (every word) and plenary (completely) inspired Word of God as contained in the original manuscripts; that all portions of Scripture are equally inspired and contain no contradiction; that God’s word is to be the only rule of faith and practice for the believer in Jesus Christ; and that the Canon, the sixty-six books of the Bible, is complete.
We believe that God has preserved His word for all generations. We further believe the KJV is an accurate and faithful English translation of the original manuscripts. For this reason, the King James Version of the Bible shall be the official and only translation used by this church in all of its public ministries.
Our Missions Program
Great Commission Baptist Church supports eight missionaries and two missions agencies.
We do our best to have fellow Independent Baptist Missionaries come by and share their burden with our church family. We endeavor to pray for all, but only financially support those whom we believe God would have us partner with.
Consider praying for our missions program. Each mission means a lot to us and we endeavor to be a blessing to each of them. Please labor with us in prayer for them. We would like to eventually have a missionary in every time zone so that it could be said that the “sun never sets upon the ministry of Great Commission Baptist Church!”
