Pastor Zachary Burns

Pastor Zachary Burns was born in Bloomfield, Iowa. He trusted Christ as his Savior at age 14 and was baptized shortly thereafter. At 17, he surrendered to full-time Christian service and received the call to preach.

He studied Pastoral Theology at Oklahoma Baptist College in Oklahoma City, graduating Cum Laude, and was ordained to the gospel ministry in May 2004.

From 2005-2026 Pastor Burns served as Assistant Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Decatur, Texas. His ministry over the past 21 years has included serving as youth pastor, school principal and teacher, bus route coordinator, children’s church preacher, and song leader/choir director.

As of July 2026 Pastor Burns is the Pastor of Great Commission Baptist Church and is serving alongside his wife Mrs. Alissa Burns, and their son Ethan and their daughter Eliza. 

Pastor Burns is passionate about teaching God’s word, discipleship,and helping families grow in their walk with the Lord.

Pastor Emeritis Harold L. Holder

Born Nov. 6. 58 to Mr. Mally Philmore and Mrs. Minnie Lee Holder, youngest of three children.

Grad. from Valen Whitley high school June 15,77. Join United States Air Force June 20, 77. Married May 19, 84 (39yrs. and counting to Mrs. Ruth Sharon Holder. We have twelve children plus two bonus children and multiple grandchildren and counting. Retired from the Air Force Aug. 1997, honorable discharge, 20 yrs., 6 mo. and 1 day. Graduated from University of South Dakota school of nursing May 1997. Fully licensed Registered Nurse July 97. Graduated Liberty Baptist Academy Bible School ( Preacher Boys) June 2001.

His calling verse; Isaiah 6:8 “Also I heard the voice of the LORD, saying, Whom shall I send? and who will go for us? Then said I, he am I send me.”
